Achievements

The pioneer of Laser hemorrhoid operations in Lithuania (the first performed Laser Hemorrhoid Plasty (LHP) and Hemorrhoid Laser Procedure (HeLP) operations in Lithuania in 2009).

The pioneer of Transanal Endoscopic Operations (TEO), Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME) and Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) operations in Lithuania (the first performed TEO operation in 2014 and transanal operation (taTME) with colleagues in 2015 in Vilnius University Hospital “Santariskiu klinikos”).

The pioneer of Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) hemicolectomy in Vilnius (the first performed SILS right hemicolectomy operation in 2014 with colleague in Vilnius University Hospital “Santariskiu klinikos”).

Hobbies & Free time

Although having less time for it over the year, skiing and cross-country cycling are my major hobbies, at least when I am outside, and back home I love to foster the fish tank.

Nevertheless I find it mandatory to get away with my family and visit a different country at least once or twice a year.
